Madonna Responds to 'Rebel Heart' Leak by Releasing Six Songs

Madonna hadn't planned on releasing her 13th album, Rebel Heart, until spring 2015. But leakers had other plans for the Queen of Pop's follow-up to 2012's MDNA, unleashing early mixes of 13 tracks onto the Internet this week. In response, Madonna has put six official versions of the songs up for sale on iTunes and other digital music retailers, effective immediately. More music will be available February 9th, and the full album will be released the first week of March via Interscope. Read More >>

Sony's Michael Lynton Defends Studio: "We Have Not Caved"

Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton has given his first television interview to discuss the damaging effects of the North Korea linked cyber-attack on the studio. In excerpts of the interview with Fareed Zakaria, which aired on CNN on Friday, Lynton said, "We do not own movie theaters. We cannot determine whether or not a movie will be played in movie theaters.The movie theaters came to us one by one over the course of a very short time. "We were very surprised by it. They announced that they would not carry the movie. At that point in time, we had no alternative to not proceed with a theatrical release on the 25th of December. We have not caved. We have not given in. We have persevered."

Thousands Sign up for Planned 'The Interview' Screenings in Toronto, Montreal

More than 2,000 people have signed up to attend independent screenings of The Interview in Toronto and Montreal, after distributor Sony Pictures Entertainment canceled the film's Christmas release Facebook event pages show that the Toronto screening has 2,300 people confirmed, while the Montreal screening has more than 500. However, neither event organizer currently has a copy of the film, which Sony pulled from theatrical release on Wednesday following threats from anonymous hackers.
