Apple's next iPhone will be a so-called mobile wallet that enables users to make credit card payments with just their phone in some stores. New Apple IPhone To Have 'mobile Wallet' Function: Bloomberg

Citing a person familiar with the situation, Bloomberg said on Sunday, Apple plans to enable its next iPhone to become a mobile wallet by allowing owners to securely make mobile payments in a store with the touch of a finger. The agreement includes participation by Visa, MasterCard and American Express and will be announced Sept. 9 along with unveiling of the next iPhone, according to the source, who Bloomberg said asked not to be identified because the talks are private.

Facebook Search Now Lets Some Mobile Users Look Up Friends’ Old Posts By Keyword

Facebook is testing an expansion of its search product, introduced last year as “Graph Search,” on mobile devices, according to a report from Bloomberg. The change, which is currently only visible to a smaller subset of Facebook users, allows users to retrieve friends’ old posts via keyword, as well as content from pages they followed. This feature was previously introduced to desktop users a year ago, but without mobile support.
