TrueLook, a leading provider of professional webcam systems, has been selected to host a live webcam for the seventh season of DIY Networks Blog Cabin, an interactive homebuilding television series. Currently live on the home improvement channels companion website, DIYNetwork.com, the webcam lets web users view live images as DIY Network renovates an 1890s beachside home in Atlantic, N.C., into a dream vacation retreat.
Beginning Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, DIY Network invites viewers and online fans nationwide to help with their Blog Cabin renovation by logging on to DIYNetwork.com/BlogCabin from their computers, mobile devices, phones and tablets to participate in interactive blogs, videos and photos, and to vote on various design features ranging from the floor plan, roof, countertops, front door, and more.
TrueLooks webcam, which uses a web interface to give users control of the camera, brings even more interactivity to DIY Networks viewers, allowing them to check out live progress of the project throughout the year. Motors on the camera and lens allow any number of users to simultaneously aim and zoom the camera. The interface also has built-in sharing features, letting users easily share images from the webcam via email, Facebook, or Twitter.
