Notary Film Maker Alexandra Vivas and Product81 Release Riveting Short Film, FUSION, Exposing the Truths about Miami Life

On November 8th, 2012 Film Maker Alexandra Vivas released a new film called FUSION, an account of how local South Florida residents live in a cultural melting pot. For the last year, local director Alexandra Vivas (http://www.alexandravivas.com) has produced the videography of Miami on film showcasing the beauty behind Miamis melding of Hispanic lives and daily routines. Spearheaded by Fordista Films and Product 81, FUSIÓN features local Latin personalities including Pepe Billete, Cuci Amador of AFROBETA, Charlis Hajjar, Manuel Papayo Corao, Ximena Cordoba, Yamil Piedra, Juan Chipoco andand Humberto El Gato Rodriguez . FUSIÓN was released at a VIP screening at Bardot followed by a live performance by AFROBETA with special guest DJs Le Spam, Mr.Pauer, Keen One and DJ Desiree. Born in Colombia and raised in Venezuela, Alexandra has established herself as a filmmaker and camera girl who works as a freelancer all over the world. She integrates her camera work with the art world by participating in multimedia shows and film collectives. Alexandra moved to New York and continued developing her career as an associate producer and director of photography in the documentary for HBO, HABLA MAS IN CHICAGO, nominated "Best Documentary for Television or Film" at the 2007 Imagen Awards. Alexandra collaborated with her friend and partner Angel Barroeta as a Producer and Director of photography for the short film A MONKTON FAMILY CHRISTMAS winner of the 48 Hour Film Festival, Miami Short Film Festival 2007, and official selection at CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2008. Her expertise has helped her garner large clients including HBO, MTV, MTV3's, Nickelodeon, Discovery Channel, FORD, Continental Airlines, among others. Currently she just completed a 26-minute short film documentary art piece called FUSION for South Florida Ford, which was shot in Miami for the Hispanic market.
