Plumbworld Reports on the Latest iPotty Craze
January 19, 2013 --
Evesham, Worcestershire (PRWEB UK) 19 January 2013
As uncovered in a recent survey by Boundary Bathrooms many people actually indulge in social media and various other online activity whilst sat on the toilet. This has been popularised mainly due to handheld devices such as mobile phones with internet access, iPads and other tablets which enable the user to browse the web as if they were sat at a computer.
CTA Digital, the company behind the iPotty, have gone one better and actually integrated a potty with an iPad. Now, not only can adults enjoy the luxury of apps and various other technologies at their fingertips, but so can toddlers. However, this beckons the question; is it over the top or just advancement?
Jack Goff, Product Manager at Plumbworld commented: It seems as if this is just another excuse to remove parents from what should be a duty of theirs. They shouldnt go down the route of getting children to learn key behaviours through the use of an app; parents shouldnt look at this as a hands-off approach! However, if iPad use is moderated and used as nothing more than a pass time, theres no reason why this couldnt be a novelty product...
In this day and age when kids are getting more and more used to being surrounded by gadgets and games, maybe its just natural progression. The older generation will undoubtedly go on about how it was different back in the day, but things change and the World moves on but where will people draw the line when it comes to their children?
Jack added: It will be a tough choice for many parents, as they will be undecided as to whether this will promote regular behaviour or cause their kids to waste more time on the potty/toilet. Well be looking into obtaining some testers for the iPotty, but were split down the middle on whether or not well be giving off the correct message.
