Facebook Begins Auto-enhancing Photos Posted From iPhones

Facebook is taking a page out of Google+ 's playbook, as it now automatically edits photos posted to the social network from mobile devices. Smartphones and apps have made photographers out of everyone; the problem is that many of us still don't have pro-level photo-editing skills. Now, when a Facebook user posts a photo using the iOS app, it is automatically "enhanced" for clarity, lighting and shadow. What's more, they won't have to decide between individual filters, as on Instagram.

Apple Defeats iPod Antitrust Lawsuit

A jury found Apple did not suppress competition in a decade-old antitrust case that was decided on Tuesday. The class-action lawsuit was levied against the company for questionable business practices concerning iPods, according to reports. An eight-person jury came to the verdict after fewer than four hours of deliberating. The bone of contention surrounded Apple's deletion of competing music services' songs from customers' iPods without notifying them. This would have happened between 2007 and 2009, the lawsuit contended.

Apple Wins Digital Music Antitrust Trial

Apple won an antitrust trial on Tuesday when a U.S. jury decided the company did not act improperly when it restricted music purchases for iPod users to Apple's iTunes digital store. The verdict was read in an Oakland, California federal court. Plaintiffs, a group of iPod consumers, had sought about $350 million in damages.
