January 02, 2013 --

Marceline, Mo. (PRWEB) January 02, 2013

Walsworth Publishing Company announced today it has acquired The Ovid Bell Press in Fulton, Mo. Both companies will operate as they do today. John Bell will remain as CEO of The Ovid Bell Press.

Despite a weak business economy, Walsworth is in a growth mode. Our acquisition of Ovid Bell Press will make Walsworth a more successful company a company that is focused on exceeding the needs of our customers and employees for many years to come, said Don O. Walsworth, CEO of Walsworth Publishing.

Founded in 1924, The Ovid Bell Press is a leading short-run publication printer serving publishers of magazines and journals. Its 85,000-square-foot facility is equipped with direct-to-plate technology, heatset web presses and a bindery that offers saddle-stitching or perfect binding with ancillary services.

This is an exciting opportunity. Under the new ownership, The Ovid Bell Press will be able to grow faster and offer our clients added benefits, said John Bell, CEO of The Ovid Bell Press. The acquisition has a positive impact on the Fulton community as well. This secures the staying power of our printing facility well into the future.

The acquisition of Ovid Bell helps strengthen Walsworth Publishings position as a leading print solutions provider.

Ovid Bell is a good fit for Walsworth because it produces similar products and shares the same values we do, such as providing outstanding customer service; relying on a strong tradition of family ownership; and maintaining a sincere commitment to its employees and communities, said Don Walsworth, President of Walsworth Publishing.
