Viator Launches Mobile Sites in French, German and Spanish

February 09, 2012 --

San Francisco, Calif (PRWEB) February 09, 2012

Viator, Inc., the leading resource for more than 9,000 tours and activities in 800-plus destinations in more than 150 countries, today announced the launch of three new Viator mobile sites for European travelers: French (fr.m.viator.com), German (de.m.viator.com) and Spanish (es.m.viator.com). These local-language mobile sites complement Viators French, German and Spanish translated websites, and are the latest additions to Viators selection of resources for travelers on-the-go, which includes the Viator Tours and Activities for iPhone and iPod touch, the Viator Ultimate Experience Guide for iPad, the flagship Viator mobile site (m.viator.com), and Viators Japanese-language mobile website (jp.m.viator.com).

"As we continue to expand our presence globally, it is important for us to make our product accessible and available to travelers and partners across multiple languages and platforms," said Ms. Barrie Seidenberg, president and CEO of Viator, Inc. "Bookings on our French, German and Spanish sites have grown steadily in the past 12 months despite the challenging global economic climate. We anticipate these same savvy travelers will find value in accessing high-quality travel experiences at the best prices via their mobile devices, both in advance of travel and while in destination."

The three new mobile sites are fully optimized for the iPhone and all Smartphone devices, providing French, German and Spanish-speaking travelers access to Viators vast tour and activity portfolio where they can conduct research, read traveler reviews, and book activities in their preferred language. All tours are presented and sold in Euros. Viators multi-language content system ensures the translated information is properly published and fully synchronized across the new local-language platforms. This technology, along with consistent Viator branding, will ensure a smooth customer experience for the French, German and Spanish-speaking travelers hoping to plan the perfect trip, right from the palm of their hand.

Whether in-destination or in advance, Viators European language mobile sites allow travelers to:

  •     Research Viators 9,000 activities in more than 150 countries
  •     Access more than 330,000 traveler reviews and photos
  •     Confirm the latest availability and pricing, even at the last minute
  •     Click to Book with confirmation and voucher delivery via email
  •     Call to Book with a Viator agent with flexible email or fax confirmation and voucher delivery, ideal for in-destination bookings
  •     Check-in for activities with paperless e-vouchers
