Park City, UT (PRWEB) December 21, 2012

Steadfast Friends, a family-owned company offering canine-centric gifts designed for pet lovers to honor their dogs, has named Americas VetDogs, Best Friends Animal Society Utah and Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind as Charity Partners. As part of the companys Giving Back policy, Steadfast Friends donates 10 percent of all revenue to canine-driven charities. Customers can also nominate charitable organizations for Steadfast Friends to consider as Charity Partners, by visiting the Contact Us page of http://www.steadfastfriends.com.

We have selected three organizations to be our inaugural Charity Partners, who we hope will benefit from our product sales in a way that is meaningful to them, and as our way of showing our respect for the work that they do, said Greg Malcolm, founder of Steadfast Friends. All of us at Steadfast Friends appreciate the bond we have with our dogs, and we want to give back to those who take care of dogs and to those great dogs who help others. We know that our customers have favorite organizations as well, and we welcome their nominations on our website, for future Charity Partners.

The three inaugural Charity Partners selected by Steadfast Friends are:

America's VetDogs® the Veterans K-9 Corps® America's VetDogs provides assistance dogs and training for disabled veterans and those who have served our country; guide dogs for those who are blind or visually impaired, and service dogs for those with physical and emotional disabilities who need assistance with activities of daily living, such as balance and stability, response to alarms and retrieval of dropped objects. VetDogs also trains physical and occupational therapy dogs to work with amputees in military and VA hospitals, and combat stress control dogs to be deployed overseas for active military personnel; these dogs offer emotional support for those who are dealing with combat and homefront issues. All VetDogs' services are provided at no cost to the veteran, and include a lifetime of aftercare. For more information, visit vetdogs.org.

Best Friends Animal Society Utah Based in Salt Lake City, Best Friends Animal Society Utah began in 2000 as No More Homeless Pets in Utah. Today, its a proud part of Best Friends Animal Society, still focused entirely on the great state of Utah, and serving as an exemplary model for the rest of the country. Its nationally-recognized work focuses on increasing adoptions of shelter cats and dogs, creating access to free and low-cost spay/neuter services, and collaborating with Utah shelters, rescue groups, veterinarians and local governments to save the lives of homeless pets. So far, these innovative efforts have helped reduce the number of animals killed in Utahs shelters by 35 percent.

Best Friends Animal Society Utah is an affiliate of Best Friends Animal Society®. Named Animal Welfare Non-Profit National Brand of the Year based on the 2012 Harris Poll EquiTrend® study, Best Friends Animal Society is a national animal welfare organization building no-kill programs and partnerships that will bring about a day when there are No More Homeless Pets®. The society's leading initiatives in animal care and community programs are coordinated from its Kanab, Utah headquarters, the country's largest no-kill sanctuary. This work is made possible by the personal and financial support of a grassroots network of supporters and community partners across the nation. For more information, visit utahpets.org and bestfriends.org.

Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, Inc.® The Guide Dog Foundation trains guide and service dogs that transform the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired, or who have other disabilities, helping them to live their lives without boundaries.
