The latest update of Oxygen Forensic Suite 2013 enhances analytic support by aggregating a variety of communication methods into a single view. The newly added Links and Stats section displays information about all calls and messages made or received in more than 200 relevant applications supported by Oxygen Forensic Suite, allowing investigators to discover with whom the subject communicates with.
The Links and Stats section allows investigators quickly revealing social connections between users of mobile devices and their contacts. This section automatically analyzes calls, text, multimedia and e-mail messages, Skype activities, instant messages, chats, social network communications and a variety of other communication activities occurring in all relevant applications supported by Oxygen Forensic Suite.
Table view offers in-depth analysis of the device users communication including all contacts, phone numbers and remote parties along with communication duration and produces a concise summary of the forensically important data.
Table view mode has been revised, adding Calls and Messages columns displaying the total number of calls and messages collected from various sections of the device. Detailed information on each call or message is available. In addition, First Date and Last Date columns now display dates of the first and last communication occurrences with a given contact, allowing experts to determine where the user started communicating with a certain person, and when the last communication with that person took place.
Switching to the Diagram view allows Investigators to have a quick glance over the users communication circles by using the. The Diagram view displays a graphical chart, allowing forensic experts to determine and analyze suspects most frequent or most active contacts at a glance.
The newly added Direct Links tab also allows building communication diagrams detailing communications with selected contacts. This allows investigators to include or exclude certain contacts, building more concise diagrams that are easier to review.
In addition, Links and Stats offers investigators the ability to analyze complex interactions among users of multiple seized mobile devices. The feature builds and displays a Links and Stats diagram with a chart for multiple devices, clearly visualizing connections between the phones users.
Group diagram has been also revised, visualizing either all communications from multiple devices in a single diagram or only displaying similar contacts.
