The new University of California Logo has come up against some rough and tough criticism from Students, Alumni and the Graphic design industry. The UC logo has a very deep embedded history and very strong, loyal following. The new logo is part of a larger campaign to unify the UC system and to reach out to the state as a whole, according to UC spokesperson Dianne Klein.
Changing a University logo is almost like changing your own coat of arms or your state flag. Designcontest.com has challenged their designers In a community for fun contest to create a better logo than The new UC design. Changing or re-branding is a difficult choice to make with a design its deep roots. We have no doubt our designers can create something better than this new logo design.
The new logo has caused a huge uproar and bashing from students and Alumni. The new logo design has been compared to a spinning icon to a stalled computer. Twitter and Facebook have been all a buzz about this new direction for their University Logo. Some quoted comments, "New UC logo is an abomination" wrote one Twitter-user "Back to the drawing board" Another tweeted that "Whoever signed off on this UC logo should be forced to have it tattooed on their forehead for life." There is also word the new logo has the "wrong color of blue". Designcontest.com has no doubt their designers can create a design with the correct blue and the same long standing stability the old UC logo has carried for them. We have top notch, dedicated designers that love to design and create that new design you are looking for. This will be for fun and will offer cash prize to the top three designers in this what would you design contest!
DesignContest.com was established in 2003 and provides a platform for small business and large businesses to obtain fresh new designs from T-shirts, website design to business cards and much more. Contest holders select the cash prize they wish to award the winner in their contest, allowing designers to compete against one another by submitting imaginative designs. DesignContest.com also offers a range of contest upgrade features to suit client needs, including Blind contests, which promote creativity by preventing designers from seeing each others work. Contest holders can also choose to increase their contest prize or to extend deadlines until a suitable design is found.
