Classic Pianos of Greater Cleveland will be hosting the 2013-14 Bösendorfer Factory Selection Tour, which features a special collection of uniquely beautiful pianos valued at more than $2 million from the worlds oldest continually active piano manufacturer, in early August. Consumers can make reservations to view the pianos August 1st through 3rd, and the collection will be open to the public on August 4th. This event, taking place at Classic Pianos Woodmere showroom (28699 Chagrin Boulevard #280, Woodmere, Ohio 44122), represents one of the largest groups of Bösendorfer pianos ever to be displayed in a single location in the United States.
Like the tour itself, these exquisite pianos will be available for sale for a limited time.
The Bösendorfer Factory Selection Tour is an incredibly rare opportunity for our customers to play such a large and varied collection of stunning instruments from this famed company, said Joe Rondinelli of Classic Pianos of Greater Cleveland. We encourage people to come out and see this spectacular display which will inspire the ears and eyes of musicians and music lovers alike.
Among the instruments to be featured include the Model 200 Hummingbirds and Model 200 Klimt limited editions. The Model 200 Hummingbirds features marquetry designs that are created through the use of many pieces of different types of wood veneer to create beautiful images that have long been viewed as symbols of wealth throughout Europe. Many fine examples of marquetry can be found in the Imperial Palaces of Vienna, including the Schoenbrunn Palace, the summer residence of The Austrian Habsburg Imperial Family. While many historical pianos have included marquetry designs, they have seldom been re-envisioned for the 21st Century.
The exclusivity of owning a Bösendorfer brings with it a pride, satisfaction and enjoyment known only to collectors of fine art and fine musical instruments, said Ed Bezursik, Bösendorfer North American Marketing Manager. These pianos are steeped in a rich European musical legacy straight from the home of Franz Schubert, Gustav Mahler, W.A. Mozart, Johan Strauss, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Joseph Haydn and many more.
