ACTCM Will Be Celebrating Chinese New Year with a Day of Fun and Complimentary Events

The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) will be celebrating Chinese New Year with free events on Sunday, February 10, 2013. Fun, free events will be held to celebrate the Year of the Snake where participants can enjoy cultural activities.

Such activities will include learning about acupuncture, herbs and oriental medicine, along with free acupuncture and massages. Participants will also be able to enjoy activities such as cooking with herbs, drawing calligraphy, and learning tai qi and qi gong, traditional Chinese exercises that promote health and balance.

Children will also be able to take part in fun activities such as Chinese lantern-making, coloring, and a bounce house. At 1:00 pm, a special performance by lion dancers will take place. In addition, all attendees will be entered to win a Droid cell phone.

The celebration takes place on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 11 am to 2pm at 450 Connecticut Street in San Franciscos Potrero Hill neighborhood. Join the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine as they celebrate the Year of the Snake with delicious dumplings, snacks and goodies plus Chinese dancers, lectures, children activities, garden and clinic tours, and free acupuncture and massages. This fun-filled event will bring together members of the ACTCM community with members of the public, local residents and their families.
