Qualcomm posted higher quarterly sales on Wednesday that nevertheless missed analysts’ forecasts. In June of last year, Apple announced that over 575 million accounts had been created for iTunes. Just 10 months later, theyve grown that number by nearly fourty percent. On the Apple earnings call today, Tim Cook announced that they were just about to surpass their 800 millionth iTunes account. The crazy part? The vast majority of those accounts have credit cards attached to them. Thats nearly 800 million accounts with one-click purchase access on things like the App Store.

New Data Suggests Galaxy S5 Stole A Surprising Amount Of Business Away From Apple

data shared from used gadget trade-in site Gazelle showed that iPhone users, for the most part, appeared to be largely uninterested in switching to Samsungs latest flagship smartphone , the Galaxy S5 . UK-based gadget trade-in comparison website CompareMyMobile says it surveyed everyone who used its portal to trade in smartphones between February 24th when Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S5, and April 11th when the new handset launched. With this new feature, the company found that current iPhone owners in the UK were by far the largest group trading in their old phones in preparation to purchase a new Galaxy S5.
